Since 2018, the "Youth for Peace" project has facilitated exchanges between young people from France, Germany, EU countries, EU candidate countries and neighbouring countries in the south and east of the EU.
On the occasion of the commemoration of the end of the First World War, the international youth meeting "Youth for Peace - 100 years after the First World War, 100 ideas for peace" brought together young people from 48 countries in Berlin from 14 to 18 November 2018. Here you can find all the information about this event and in particular the ideas for peace that the young people proposed to the German and French heads of state.
Following this meeting, the project "Youth for Peace - Global tools, local action" was born to put some of the ideas for peace into practice with around 50 young people. After a meeting in Paris in 2019, the participants from 20 countries continued their exchanges online throughout 2020 in the difficult context of the coronavirus pandemic. On 8 May 2020, they published their wishes for peace and solidarity in the form of a mosaic of videos to send their wishes for peace and solidarity to the world .
Finally, in February 2021, they concluded this project with an official presentation of 8 videos created to encourage other young people to work for peace.
