We are a loving family of 5, looking for a friendly and responsible au pair to join our family for the next 12-24 months.

OUR FAMILY

  • We are a happy family of 5, with 3 children (Emma 10, Louis 8, Sam 4)
  • We are multilingual + multicultural family: I am English and my husband is Austrian. At home we speak mainly English, but also German and French.
  • We are fun-loving, and family orientated.

OUR HOME:

  • We are based in Vaud, Switzerland.  Our nearest town is the beautiful Celigny, but otherwise we are only 10 mins drive from Nyon, and 20 mins drive from Geneva.  The lake is 25 mins walk away!
  • Our house is a beautiful, renovated farmhouse. It is surrounded by nature + there is a big garden
  • You will have your own bedroom, with a fridge, desk, and TV.
  • You will share a bathroom with the children - but hopefully everyone will keep it nice and clean!

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE:

An average day for you might include:

  • preparing the children for school
  • collecting the children from school
  • taking the children to their activities / doing activities with them
  • cooking them supper,
  • eating supper with them/us
  • clearing the house and ensuring their rooms are tidy
  • managing the family clothes washing (in a washing machine!)

My husband and I work most days but I work from home, so am always around to support!

SCHEDULE AND POCKET MONEY:

  • Start date: Any time from 1st September - 30th October 2024
  • Duration: 1 year min
  • Pay: 600chf / month
  • French/English course – we would pay for 50%
  • Hours: approx. 30 hours per week

OTHER:

  • It is essential that you can drive and feel comfortable with driving as we live in the countryside
  • We are looking for someone who is :
  • Friendly and approachable – you will become a key part of the family
  • Responsible and reliable – we will need to be able to count on you for school collection etc
  • Flexible – each week could be different, making it a varied and rich role.
  • Active – enjoys being outdoors and doing various activities
  • Cooking is a plus: for the children
